In the first quarter of 2010, the average price paid for a detached home in Walnut Creek was just over $730,000 with the lowest priced one selling for $325,000 for a 3 bedroom, 2 bath fixer with almost 2,000 square feet of living space. Yes, it needed work, but it was not in terrible condition. Really a good buy for somebody willing to put in some sweat equity.
