What a difference from last month. Of course we expect interest in home purchases to decline in December but such a turn around as this is unprecedented. It almost loooks like panic buying.
Certainly the buyers are back in force in Walnut Creek and it will be interesting to see if this trend will continue. I suspect inventory levels will be the deciding factor.
At the beginning of February 2010 there were only 95 detached single family homes for sale in Walnut Creek with prices ranging from $419,000 to $4,998,000. Most are "regular" sales with only 8 of them being bank owned foreclosures (REOs) and 12 Short Sales.
